Prerequisites for a Platform AWS Account

Before an AWS account can be used to host part of the example service, a short list of prerequisites must be in place.

• Central billing and logging enrollment must be complete.
• A federated access role must exist for the platform team.
• The account must be tagged with its environment tier and cost center.
• Baseline network infrastructure (VPC, subnets, routing) must be provisioned through the shared bootstrapping process rather than created manually.

Only once these prerequisites are confirmed should an application workload be deployed into the account.
