Introduction

This is sample documentation shipped as a template with the reusable MkDocs publishing pipeline. It exists to demonstrate the site theme, the navigation structure, and the various Markdown features the pipeline supports. None of the content below describes a real system — every host name, account identifier, and procedure is invented placeholder text.

When you adopt this pipeline for your own project, replace everything under this directory with your own documentation. The folder layout is only a suggestion: keep the top-level sections that make sense for your project and drop the rest.

The sections below are a representative sample of the kind of documentation an infrastructure or platform team might maintain for a fictional example service.

  • Architecture — high-level design, environments, and supporting components.
  • Configuration Item List — reference tables of environment and account configuration.
  • Guides — onboarding and installation walkthroughs.
  • Security — authentication, access control, and security processes.
  • Setup — first-time setup and deployment procedures.
  • Standard Operating Procedures — day-to-day and emergency operational runbooks.
