Service Windows

The example service defines two recurring windows: a maintenance window used for routine changes, and a change freeze period used around high-traffic events when no non-critical changes are allowed.

The maintenance window runs weekly and is announced to users through the public status page. Most deployments happen during business hours, but changes that require brief downtime are scheduled during the maintenance window instead.

Change freezes are declared in advance and only emergency fixes are permitted during them, following the process described in the Standard Operating Procedures section.
